Short Description
Our 12-days organized tour in Germany starts from Johannesburg via Hamburg Airport to Schwerin. You will explore the beautiful landscapes of the Mecklenburg Vorpommern Province, with additional visits of fantastic cities like Hamburg, Stralsund, and Berlin.
The itinerary includes city tours, visits to special tourist attractions, cultural events and offers also enough leisure time for individual activities and shopping. The tour dates span from late June, the German summer to early autumn in October.
Itinerary
Day 1 | Schwerin – Arrival
Welcome to Schwerin, the capital of Mecklenburg Vorpommern in Northern Germany. Our city is well known for its famous Castle, a neo-Renaissance palace with ornate rooms and elaborate gardens. The Schwerin National Museum has paintings dated back from the 17th-century, including those of the Dutch and Flemish as well as works by Peter Paul Rubens. Schwerin was recently declared a World Heritage Centre. During our Welcome Dinner you will be introduced to our activities about your booked tour with us. (D)

Day 3 | Hamburg
On this day we will visit Hamburg: a major port city in Northern Germany, which is connected to the North Sea by the huge Elbe River. After a bus city tour and a typical fish lunch near the harbour, welcome to Germany’s largest and oldest Panoptikum Waxworks with over 120 figures. Something to write home about and a must-see in Germany. (B)

Day 4 | Mecklenburg Vorpommern
Welcome to the Biohof Medewege. The former estate area is in the immediate vicinity of Schwerin on Lake Medeweger. Here we will find a versatile community of people, companies, projects and initiatives: organic agriculture, craft, art, culture and educational projects.
In the afternoon we discover our city of Schwerin from a completely new perspective: with a balloon ride from above! (B)
Day 5 | Baltic Sea
With its flat and steep banks, beach lakes, bays and dunes, the narrow headland between the sea and Bodden is one of the most beautiful and most varied landscapes in Mecklenburg. A crown jewel of nature that is strictly protected by the Vorpommern Bodden landscape National Park, which we will together explore this day. (B)
Transfer
Bus trip from Schwerin to Darss and back.
Day 6 | Hamburg
After breakfast, excursion to Hamburg will start with a fantastic and interesting harbour tour. In the afternoon it is time to visit the fabulous miniature wonderland. And we promise you: Miniature Wonderland is indeed a wonder! It is a model built by builders and technicians to give you a miniature experience of different worlds that have already been built. (B)

Day 7 | Free Day
As your free day, there is much time for individual activities whilst you seat back, perhaps for a quick analysis of the first half of our tour through Northern Germany.
