Day 2 - 3 | Dqae Qare - Cultural Photography

You will enjoy a genuine experience of the open spaces and quiet peace of the Kalahari in the company of the wonderfully open and friendly San people. You are invited to bush walks, traditional dancing, fire making, craft making, trapping and storytelling. (B, L, D)

Day 4 | Herero Village - People Photography

Early in the morning we leave D’kar for traveling to Maun. Our group stops enroute at a Herero village to visit a community of descendants of exile survivors of the battle of the Waterberg, 1904. The Herero are traditionally cattle-herding pastoralists. During our visit, they give us a sustainable impression about their daily way of living in Botswana since they arrived as refugees: fleeing from the German soldiers in “Deutsch Südwest Africa”, their original homeland, and today’s Namibia. (B, L, D)

Transfer
Drive from D’kar to Maun (249 km) stopping en route via Herero village.

Day 5 - 6 | Xini / Khwai - Moremi Game Reserve - Wildlife Photography

Bodumatau, meaning 'where the lion roars', is situated in a remote area on the lower reaches of the marginal flood plains, on one of the many 'tongues' of water that creep over the Kalahari sands – forming one of the most amazing wonders of the world. This is another chance for spectacular photographic opportunities. Days are spent exploring and looking for lion, cheetah, and the elusive leopard. (B, L, D)

Day 7 – 9 | Mboma Iland - Moremi Game Reserve - Wildlife Photography

Moremi boasts one of the richest and most diverse ecosystems on the continent, being described by the prestigious African Travel and Tourism Organization as one of the most beautiful game reserves in whole Africa. It is here that land, and water meet in a perfect balance of stunningly beautiful flood plains, lagoons, pools and pans, all edged in lush green riverine forest and tall tropical palm trees. You take the whole moving camp from Bodumatau/Xini to Mboma island with a picnic lunch on the way. Mboma Island is situated on the eastern side of Chiefs Island and provides some excellent wildlife watching. You explore this beautiful area doing morning and evening game drives. (B, L, D)

Chobe National Park encompasses a diverse range of habitats, from the dense riverine forests and swamplands of Chobe and Linyanti to the mopane forests of Nogatsaa, and then across to the open grassy plains and rocky kopje outcrops of Savuti in the Southwest. The Chobe River and Namibia’s Caprivi floodplains, which stretches out to the far horizon, gives plenty opportunities for wildlife photography. Activities will be game drives and boat cruises.
